Using the app offline

What you can do in the app without signal and how it gets uploaded later.

1. What you can do offline

In the mobile app, even without signal:

  • Shelters and volunteers: complete or start tasks, take a task, give vaccines and deworming, record clinical events, notes and weight, and add an animal with the basics.
  • Foster homes: send the daily report.
  • Colonies: log visits and add cats.

Everything else (applications, billing, invitations, showcase and settings) needs a connection.

2. What you can look up

The last copy saved on the phone: Home, tasks, the animal list and the records of animals you opened recently. You'll see the notice «Offline · data from…».

3. How it gets uploaded

At the top you'll see «Offline · 1 pending change». As soon as you're back online it uploads on its own, in order and with the real time you did it. Tap that bar to see Pending uploads.

4. If something can't be uploaded

If someone else changed the same thing in the meantime (for example, they already completed that task), the latest action wins and your change stays in Pending uploads with the reason.

5. When you log out

Everything saved on the phone is deleted. If anything is still waiting to upload, the app warns you first.
